The season has come to a bitter end for the Kansas City Chiefs after falling short in the AFC Championship, but there won’t be much time for general manager Brett Veach to wait before getting to work on what should be a busy and challenging offseason.
Veach, who is heading into his second full offseason as general manager, faces numerous big decisions in the months ahead, ones that could shape the franchise’s future for years to come.
Some of those decisions are typical of the types of things teams face every year, such as whether or not to bring players facing free agency back for another year or two.

We first looked at this topic during the team’s bye week back in the regular season, and while the decisions listed here stay the same as they did then, things may have gotten more complicated in some cases. Here’s a look at just a handful of the several decisions the Chiefs will have to make in the months ahead.
