Now that the Kansas City Chiefs’ season is also done, we look at some potential free agent adds who could make their way to the Chicago Bears.

Patrick Mahomes and Mitch Trubisky will be playing football once more this season, but it won’t be in the Super Bowl. At some point, you have to believe both the Chicago Bears and Kansas City Chiefs could indeed headline the big game in the near future, with both Pro Bowl quarterbacks ascending quickly.

The Chiefs fell victim of what so many teams have fallen victim to in the past 15 years — the absolute greatness that is Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick. The New England Patriots had been there, done that, and they simply know how to win on the biggest stages.

Like Trubisky and the Bears, Mahomes and the Chiefs will be back and ideally better than before. That process begins this offseason, where decisions must be made and players may find new homes.

For the Bears, this offseason will be much quieter than last year. Of course, 2018 was the most fun offseason Bears fans have had in quite some time. General manager Ryan Pace went all-out after hiring Matt Nagy, filling holes left and right through free agency and the NFL Draft.

Speaking of free agency, the Chiefs have some players which the Bears should keep tabs on. Depending on what decisions Pace makes with his own personnel this offseason, Chicago could become home to some familiar faces to second-year coach Nagy.

Let’s look at some of the guys whom the Chiefs could wind up losing this spring, and how they would fill a need for the Bears.
