
With 29 touchdown passes* in the Chiefs’ first nine games, Patrick Mahomes should break the franchise record of 30 next week.

Mahomes is on pace for 52 touchdown passes this season, which would be the second-most in NFL history. Former Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning holds the record with 55, which was set in 2013.
It’s way too early to know if Mahomes will threaten Manning’s record, of course. However, Manning did break down film of Mahomes for a new show on ESPN+ called “Detail.”
ESPN’s Adam Schefter shared this clip, which shows Manning commenting on a pass during a game against Denver at Arrowhead Stadium. It’s interesting to see all that went into this play and Manning’s insight:
