One of the biggest games on the NFL schedule this week will take place in Seattle, where the 8-6 Seahawks host the 11-3 Kansas City Chiefs in a matchup filled with playoff implications.
The Seahawks, who currently hold the number five seed in the NFC playoff field, had an opportunity to clinch a postseason spot with a win over the 49ers on December 16 but were upset in overtime, 26-23. They’re still heavily favored to make the playoffs with their final game coming at home against the 3-11 Arizona Cardinals, but they’ll certainly want a win this week just in case.
The Chiefs lost a chance to clinch the AFC West and home field advantage when they fell to the 11-3 Chargers at home last Thursday, and now they’ll be looking to win in a difficult road environment to keep pace with their division foe. A win over the Seahawks plus some outside help can put them back in that position this week.
The Chiefs opened as two-point favorites in the game at Sportsline.com, but this has the feel of a game that can go either way.
Here’s a look at what the starting lineups could be when the two teams face off at CenturyLink Field in Seattle on Sunday night.
