As the Kansas City Chiefs travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns at noon CT this Sunday, be sure to keep an eye on these other games that could have an impact on the Chiefs’ season.
These two teams are trending in opposite directions. The Steelers started the season slow at 1-2-1, but have won their last three games and sit atop of the AFC North. The Ravens, meanwhile, kicked off the season at 3-1 but have lost three of their last four games and currently sit at third in the division.
The Chiefs will host the Ravens in Week 14 so Chiefs fans will want to keep tabs on Baltimore’s progress throughout the season. K.C. has already beaten Pittsburgh this season but the possibility of a rematch in the playoffs looms.
The Chargers are coming fresh of their bye week and will face the tall task of winning in Seattle against a hot Seahawks team. The Seahawks have won four of their last five games and need to stay hot if they’re going to have any shot in catching the 8-0 Los Angeles Rams in the NFC West.
The Chargers are pretty hot as well, winners of their last four games. They also need to continue to win as they try to stay within striking distance of the 7-1 Chiefs. This matchup will be a battle of strengths as L.A.’s eighth ranked scoring offense faces off with Seattle’s fourth ranked scoring defense.
The Texans may be the hottest team in the NFL right now, winners of five straight games after a glum 0-3 start. Quarterback Deshaun Watson is heating up and looks to be regaining his pre-ACL tear form. Not only has Houston taken control of the AFC South but they are now pushing for a top seed in the AFC.
As for the Broncos, they are on a downward slope and things could get ugly if they don’t turn it around very soon. They’ve lost five of their last six games and coach Vance Joseph is on the hot seat.
Receiver Demaryius Thomas was just traded from Denver to Houston this week. It will be interesting to see how much playing time he gets against his former team.
This game has really no impact on the Chiefs, but it should be an awesome matchup and we are looming closer to the big Chiefs/Rams showdown on Monday Night Football. Will the Rams still be undefeated entering that contest?
After dropping their first game of the season, the Saints have won six in a row and appear to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender. This game should be a shootout as New Orleans has the No. 2 scoring offense in the NFL and L.A. is No. 3.
There’s a couple of good, new releases on Netflix: The Haunting of Hill House and season two of Making a Murderer. I was a big fan of season one of Making a Murderer and definitely encourage you to check it out if you haven’t already. I haven’t watched The Haunting of Hill House yet but I’ve heard good things about it’s storytelling and chilling theme.
